Parrots are intelligent and complex creatures with a variety of needs that must be met to be successful members of their human home. At Parrot University our focus is education of owners and potential owners in companion parrot care and behavior. Parrot U is a retail store offering all the essentials and lots of 'fun stuff' for your birds. Our knowledgeable staff is available to answer any questions you may have.
In addition to the largest and most reasonably priced "parrot-phernalia" in the area, we offer classes, seminars and behavioral consultations to assist you with your parrot relationship. Our library offers a wide range of books, magazines, articles, and DVDs for your enjoyment and education.
Parrot University offers numerous classes for the companion parrot owner. Please click on Calendar of Events for monthly schedules. Classes include 'Parrot 101' and 'Avian Medicine/Anatomy' - both required for foster and adoption -- plus 'Toy Making', 'Foraging', 'Cooking for Your Bird' a variety of topics covering training and behavior issues. Advance registration is requested for class attendance. Please call, email or stop by the store to register.
We now offer high bio-security boarding for your companion birds. Both Private and Communal boarding rooms are available. Our staff strives to provide a safe, healthy and caring environment for your parrot while you are away. Please go to Boarding Info for more information.
